Procrastination

Classes are officially over! All that's left of this semester is five final exams. I have 2 Friday, 1 Monday, 1 Wednesday, and 1 Thursday. I really hate that I have all these exams. I'm not too worried about them, though. Except for one that's going to require a good bit of studying. However, you see how I am spending my time right now...

Next Saturday I am going to Arlington, Texas with a group of my friends. We will be staying for about a week and working at Mission Arlington. I went last year about this time and absolutely loved it. It's a ton of hard work, but oh so rewarding.
I've been in Starkville too long. I'm getting antsy to get out of Mississippi in general. In other words, I'm ready to go to Arlington. Also, another thing that excites me about that trip is that one of my teammates from Florida, Rachel, lives in Arlington. So I'll get to see her and I am SUPER excited about that.

You know, I never thought I'd be a summer missionary. God changed that. I've served two summers now: Nevada and Florida.
I never thought I'd go overseas. I didn't have a heart for it. God changed that. This summer I have applied for 3 overseas positions: Philippins, South Korea, and Australia. (I'm sure you are thinking, "Man, Australia would be awesome!" and I totally agree with you.) We have state interviews in January so I'll find out a few days after those interviews. I'm pretty excited about where God is going to send me. Also, I am very nervous as to where He is going to send me, too. But that's natural....right?

Oh, my sister is engaged! She will be Mrs. Sarah Powell on May 14th. I am the Maid of Honor! :) She has her dress, we have our dresses, things are coming together. One of our family friends is throwing her a Christmas shower this Saturday. So, of course, I will be in attendance fully equipped with a pad of paper and a pen ready to record everything that she gets. Oh, the duties of a MOH. Gotta love it...(and I do!)

Side note: I just want to say how truly blessed I am to have the people in my life that I do. In high school I never had a lot of really close friends. Now I have BEST friends. I have people that I want to hang out with and that want to hang out with me. They influence me, encourage me, and lift me up. It is such a blessing to have that kind of support. Thanks God!

Well, that's about all I got so far. Hopefully I'll update with information and pictures from Mission Arlington when I get back. Stay tuned! :)
